Questions before you start
Can I take the CBR theory exam in English?
Yes. The CBR offers the car theory exam in English for €57 (the Dutch exam is €50,50 in 2026). Permio lets you practise in English and switch to Dutch at any time.
Is Permio up to date with the new exam?
Yes. Permio is built on the format used since 7 April 2025: one exam of 50 questions in 30 minutes, 44 correct to pass, and the same question types. Hazard perception in the real exam uses short animated clips; Permio is adding those question by question.
What does it cost?
Starting is free: one full mock exam, two whole topics (Traffic Signs and Right of Way) and your AI coach. Passes are one-time payments from €9,99. Nothing renews automatically.
What if I fail the exam?
With the Exam Pass or Complete: if you reached your readiness score and took your mock exams, send us your CBR result within 14 days and we add 30 days of free access for your retake.
Is Permio part of the CBR?
No. Permio is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the CBR. Our questions are written from the Dutch traffic rules (RVV 1990), not copied from the official exam.
Do I need an account?
