A two-week study plan to pass first time
A realistic day-by-day plan to prepare for the Dutch CBR car theory exam in two weeks — without cramming, and built around understanding rather than memorising.
You do not need months to pass the theory exam, but you do need a plan. Here is a two-week structure that spreads the work, builds understanding, and finishes with realistic mock exams so exam day feels routine.
Week one — build the foundation
- Days 1–2: Priority and right of way — the single biggest source of mistakes.
- Days 3–4: Traffic signs and road markings — learn them in groups, not one by one.
- Day 5: Speed, distance and lighting rules.
- Days 6–7: Hazard perception basics and a first short mock to see where you stand.
Week two — sharpen and simulate
- Days 8–9: Environment, vehicle knowledge and the rules you scored lowest on.
- Days 10–11: Insight questions — applying rules to busy, multi-part scenes.
- Days 12–13: Full-length timed mock exams, reviewing every mistake the same day.
- Day 14: A light review of your weak topics only. Rest. Do not cram the night before.
The rule that ties it together
Whatever the day’s topic, review every wrong answer until you understand the rule behind it — not just the correct option. That single habit is the difference between passing first time and rebooking. Permio automates it: weak spots resurface until they stick, and your coach explains the why in plain English or Dutch.
